1983 Big red 200. So the new battery charged all nioght, reads 13.65. However the4 darn thing WONT start. (It just clicks the solenoid) The solenoid is BRAND new. I did put a screw driver accost the solenoid and the starter whirled in a low kind of way and not nearly enough "Poop" to start the machine. 1.People stop automatically telling others what there solution is when it could easily be a number of things... The flashing dash lights indicate a charging-system problem (battery, alternator, load detector, etc) But also possibly flooded from a dribbling injector. Holding the gas pedal to the floor while cranking tells the computer to turn off the injectors while starting (per owner's manual).

Getting ready for Snowpocalypse, I decided to move my 350d into the garage from it's covered trailer in the back. Started up only after a quick shot of starter fluid then ran well as I drove it around a little. Parked it in the garage. Then this morning...nothing. Turns over but just won't start.Now disconnect the gray/black in the same harness. make a short jumper and connect the gray/black female connector and the gray female connector. Check again for spark. If you OHM out each component and everything check out then the most likely culprit is the CDI.
